Computer Centre

A Computer Centre has been established to keep pace with modern trends and research in engineering field. Computer Centre offers following facilities:
 

Internet Hall. This hall Consists of 9 computers, which are connected through LAN. The basic purpose of this hall is to provide Research and Internet Surfing facilities to undergraduates.

Net Cafee. This hall Consists of 5 computers and 2 Laptops, which are connected through LAN. The basic purpose of this Cafee is to provide Research and Internet Surfing facilities to undergraduates after college hours.

Software Engineering Lab. This hall Consists of 20 computers 1 Servers , which are connected through LAN. The basic purpose of this Lab is to provide Hands On Practice of the Latest Professional Civil Engineering Software in the market which includes
a. GEO STUDIO.
b. AUTOCAD.
c. LISCAD.
d. WATSYS.
e. HYDSYS.
f. SANSYS.
g. STAAD PRO 2004.
h. SAP2000.
i. Primavera.
j. ETABS.

 

Network Hall-I. This hall Consists of 25 computers, which are connected through LAN. The basic purpose of this hall is to provide computer-training facility to students. Special software classes and different computer literacy programs are also organized for students as well as Faculty / Staff of MCE.

Network Hall-II. This room is specifically dedicated for the research/projects of undergraduate classes. It has 12 computers with one state of the art plotter, 1 Dotmatrix Printer, Color and Black&White Laser Printer. Students are encouraged to work and utilize the facilities provided.
 
Server Room. It is the hub /control of MCE Local Area Network (LAN). It consists of four servers which are as following :
* Internet Server
* Proxy Server
* Apllication Server
* ERP Database Server
* MCE Online System (Server)
* FTP Server (Free Software)
* FTP Server (Free E-Books)
* Web Server (www.mce.nust.edu.pk)
 
EION System. From 15 May 2009 Electron Internal Office Note(EION)System is fully implement in the college which will be the milestone to create and promote paperless invironment in the college.
 
Maintenance Workshop. A maintenance workshop has been established. It consists of a room with requisite repairs / maintenance equipment.
 
MCE LAN. All Wings/Branches of MCE are connected through LAN. Diagrammatic layout of the LAN is as follows:
 
Wide Area Network. Headquarters National University Of Sciences & Technology (NUST) is in the process of establishing a Wide Area Network (WAN) to link Headquarters National University Of Sciences & Technology (NUST) and other constituent colleges.
